Te Fertility Show- Manchester 2017 March 25th-26th 2017

Our first ever fertility show was held in Manchester, garnering the fertility world under one roof. This exhibition took months of planning and preparation, to producing promo material and logistics for a stand so far from our cosy office in West London, but nevertheless we got there in the end. We were very fortunate to be joined by experts and three consultants; Dr A Salaria- Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist (BSc, MBBS, FRCOG, Lon, UK), Dr Sabah A Baig- Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist (MBBS, MRCOG, FRCOG, Lon, UK), Dr. Pankaj Shrivastav Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist (MBBS, MRCOG, FRCOG), Raj Joshi (Embryologist) and Dena Kelman (Medical Secretary). Melinda along with Dr Salaria’s daughter Mariam who is currently studying Medicine was also in attendance to fly the IHP flag. One query that all our staff felt was a recurring subject, was women’s health; in seeking other fertility options rather than the IVF route. This matter was discussed in detail by our experts, who offered advice whereby certain conditions can be medically managed.  The show was a great success…on to the next one.

Gulf Daily News- Newspaper 2017 May 29th-31s

With IHP’s close connection to Bahrain, we set out to place an advert and article in one of the country’s most popular newspaper. The advert consisting of arranging medical treatment in the UK was positioned on the first fold (page 2) in the Gulf Daily News dubbed as ‘The voice of Bahrain’ on Monday 29th May 2017. Our advert states we can accommodate in assisting with VISA documentation, provide a second medical opinion and support through an office based in London all with the reassurance of being certified members of the Medical tourism association and international trade council. This was followed by an in-depth article on page 13 which included an image of our founder and managing director, Dr Dabeer Salaria. The article goes on to give background information on Dr Salaria’s profession and the services we at IHP can provide those living and working in the UAE.

Read about our amazing adventure in Thailand at the Health and Wellness showcase In August 2017

By Kiran Nahar

The first of its kind medical tourism conference was held by the tourism authority of Thailand in Bangkok, in association with Amazing Health & Wellness Showcase. Our patient coordinator Mel was invited as a buyer to represent IHP and network with a number of wellbeing and clinical centres to set up potential partnerships. Thailand has long been a haven for affordable medical treatments that can be combined with a holiday and this year’s theme was “Thailand a Paradise for Longevity”.  Set over 1 day this jam-packed convention showcased 45 health and wellness providers from all different categories including; regenerative & anti- aging, cosmetic surgery, facial rejuvenation, dental, cell therapy, health check-up labs and medical spas. An opening ceremony was formally introduced early morning whereby a welcome speech by the Thai Authority of tourism was presented, followed by a group photo, product briefing, lunch, business matching meeting and a reception dinner.  As arranged by the Thai tourism authority Mel was given the opportunity over the next following days to visit a few of the hospitals and medical centre’s in and around Bangkok for site inspections. The areas of healthcare included, IVF, fertility and Oncology units at the Bangkok hospital. Cosmetic surgery and wellbeing was based at the Apex Medical Centre, through which Mel had the chance to undertake a few procedures herself, constituting a vitamin drip which was part of a wellbeing package and entering a subzero ice lab. As part of her trip, a final day was organized on behalf of Amazing Health & Wellness Showcase to explore the wonderful sights of Bangkok. She visited the Wat Pho temple, floating market (Dam Noen Sa Duak), royal gardens finished with a wonderful cruise dinner on the Chao Phraya river. On her arrival home, when asked if she would return back to Thailand upon her experience, we got a big thumbs- up!

Fertility Road Magazine

As IHP’s speciality is Fertility we at HQ thought it made perfect sense to advertise in what is hailed as the world’s number one fertility magazine. With over 6,000 prints distributed to international clinics, UK based Fertility Road Magazine approached us to partake in a half page spread article. Positioned on page 27, our article gives their readership an overview of who we are and what exactly what we can offer potential clients. Set on a blue background and encompassing our logo, we boldly stated that we can offer IVF treatment from £4,000, with complimentary skype consultations and a dedicated team to offer support throughout one’s fertility journey. We also highlighted that we will be exhibiting at the Fertility Show in London and if any consultations would like to be arranged to enquire on our website.

The Fertility Show London
November 4th-5th 2017

The annual fertility show visited Olympia London for its bigger and better exhibition in all things fertility. Being our second exhibit, our team was more prepared and focused, knowing what and what not do in our preparation. This year’s team consisted of Mel, Kiran, Dr Salaria, his two daughters, Mariam, Zara and a couple of extra hands. With over 100 exhibitors, we had to ensure that our stand stood out from our competitors. This year we had a bigger stall, compromising of 6 x 3 metres which ensured all potential clients had a spacious environment to sit with Dr Salaria for a confidential complimentary consultation. Set over two days the show enabled international clinics and businesses to network with one another and ultimately give much needed advice and direction to those enduring fertility issues. Members of staff were given the opportunity to attend seminars that were organised by the fertility show. Mel and Kiran both attended a talk on ‘Factors to consider when choosing a fertility clinic’. This gave a tremendous insight into how, what and why goes into decision making and in due course giving us at IHP detailed knowledge that can help improve our services and client management. This was followed by an in-depth article on page 13 which included an image of our founder and managing director, Dr Dabeer Salaria. The article goes on to give background information on Dr Salaria’s profession and the services we at IHP can provide those living and working in the UAE.

A Trip To Dubai

Dubai; a haven for sun, sea and sand. A glamourous metropolis built in the Arab desert with world famous landmarks, this ever-expanding city attracts tourists from far and wide.

More recently the boom in health tourism saw just under 300,00 visitors opting for medical treatment in 2015.* (https://www.visitdubai.com/en/business-in-dubai/why-dubai/news-and-insights/medical-tourists-healthcare-industry).

Dubai has state of the art technology and reduced waiting time compared to that of the UK or many European countries. It offers international healthcare professionals that can aid with language barriers and a host of medical treatments/procedures that are unavailable in the UK due to strict European laws like gender selection. An opportunity to combine medical treatment/s with a holiday can be alluring as the choice of where to stay and what to do is endless.

Commenting on the emirate’s healthcare vision, HE Humaid Al Qatami, Chairman of the Board and DHA Director General, said: “Health regulations are very important to ensure we provide high quality care and patient safety. Dubai has a strong health regulation framework and this has helped ensure quality healthcare, which, in itself is a catalyst for medical tourism.”.* (https://www.visitdubai.com/en/business-in-dubai/why-dubai/news-and-insights/medical-tourists-healthcare-industry).

For those embarking on fertility treatment, the Conceive Gynaecology and Fertility Hospital with two locations (Jumeirah Lake Towers & Sharjah), has over twenty years of experience. Headed by Dr Pankaj Shrivastav, a highly experienced physician and a pioneer in the field of reproductive Medicine, they applaud their success on their mantra of ‘Let’s make you a family!’*(http://www.conceiveivf.com/)

Celebrating their 10,000th baby, they provide infertile couples with a range of treatments from IVF, IUI, ICSI, Blastocyst transfer, Egg and Sperm freezing, PGD/PGS and treatment of recurrent miscarriages to name a few. Their fees are competitive and compared to the UK can be considerably lower. Therefore, taking into account; flights, accommodation and treatment fees, this can be the equivalent of one IVF cycle in London.

Alongside treating women for fertility and IVF procedures, Dr Pankaj also specialises in male infertility with low and poor sperm count. With treatments such as PESA and TeSA, this enables for both partners to ensure the maximum results for their fertility health.

For many first-time visitors, the thought of travelling overseas for their fertility treatment can be unnerving, however a top-rated agency can guide you through your journey. Occasionally all-inclusive travel packages can be arranged with complimentary airport pick up and drops off and use of a phone device during your stay. If thoroughly researched and you and your partner have weighed up all the pros and cons, Dubai can be an excellent destination for fertility or general medical treatment.
